Raquel Freitas

Raquel is a Senior Consultant in Public Law practice and has more than 30 years’ experience as a lawyer. She focuses on administrative law, especially environmental law, and public procurement.

Raquel advises Portuguese and international clients from various industries and sectors, in particular, paper pulp, packaging production, healthcare, the chemical industry and mass catering. She also has extensive experience in analysing environmental issues relating to the energy sector.

Since 2011, Raquel has been a lecturer at the Faculty of Food and Nutrition Sciences of the University of Porto, on the degree and master’s courses in public procurement. She also lectures a seminar entitled Introduction to Environmental Law at the Faculty of Law of Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Porto).

Before joining PLMJ, she was a lawyer in the public law practice of the law firm Cuatrecasas.
