Joana Gonçalves Fernandes

Joana is passionate about development and creating conditions to help people and organizations thrive.

Since July 2023, she has been part of Sonae SGPS’s Transformation Area, where she collaborates on transformation initiatives, focusing on cultural evolution and international reskilling projects to prepare companies and individuals for the future of work.

Joana has 17 years of experience dedicated to HR transformation, people development, and business growth across diverse industries. She previously, served as the Mercer Porto Office Leader for Human Capital.

Additionally, since 2007, she has been involved in Academia as an invited Lecturer at the Portuguese Catholic University, teaching Learning Psychology.

Joana is an enthusiast for connecting the dots between companies' challenges and the solutions that research and theory can provide.
